Creating a culture of belongingThe work of the Commission for Persons with Disabilities is to engage all clergy, religious, and laity to invite individuals with disabilities and their families to full and active participation in the life of the Church, so that all may not only feel welcome but as though they belong. Through our witness, support, and sharing knowledge and resources we we hope to provide a more meaningful, fruitful, and lifelong encounter with Christ for individuals living with disabilities and their families.

Did You Know?
The Commission on Persons with Disabilities, in collaboration with the Archdiocesan Building Office and Insurance Office, has published a survey tool/document for reviewing accessibility at parishes. This is a tool for the Parish Disability Advocate to use in highlighting pressing accessibility needs to parish leadership including the pastor and maintenance supervisor.
